Jamie Luner began an acting career in the small screen, appearing on several episodes of the 1980s sitcom “Growing Pains,” followed by a starring role on its spin-off “Just the Ten of Us” in 1988 to 1990. Three years later, she starred alongside Linda Gray in the 1993 telefilm “Why My Daughter?”

In 1994, Jamie Luner started to appear in a series of TV movies, but her role on the Aaron Spelling “Confessions of a Sorority Girl” telefilm paved the way to a long-term professional relationship with producer Spelling. In 1996, Spelling cast Jamie Luner as the scheming Peyton Richards on the primetime drama series “Savannah.” After leaving the show, she was cast in another Spelling-produced TV series “Melrose Place,” wherein she played the role of Lexi Sterling until the show ended in 1999. That same year, Jamie Luner became the replacement of Ally Walker on the NBC series “Profiler,” playing Rachel Burke until the end of the show’s fourth season.

Jamie Luner continued to appear in the small screen with guest appearances on “CSI: Miami,” “The Outer Limits” and the three-part episode on “That’s Life.” In 2000, Jamie Luner switched to the big screen and starred in the indie film “Sacrifice” with Michael Madsen.

In 2003, Jamie Luner worked again with Aaron Spelling in the TV drama “10-8: Officers on Duty,” wherein she played the role of Senior Deputy Ryan Layne. That same year, she starred in the SCI-FI Channel telefilm “Threshold” alongside Nicholas Lea. In 2004, Jamie Luner made a guest appearance on “NCIS.” The following year, she starred in four Lifetime TV telefilms, including “Stranger in my Bed,” “The Suspect,” “Blind Injustice” and “The Perfect Marriage.” Jamie Luner then starred in a Sci-Fi Channel telefilm entitled “Nuclear Hurricane” and appeared on the Santa Monica Playhouse production of “Black and Bluestein” in 2007. She also appeared on an episode of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”
